PEAR 3 VERY PLENTIFUL. There is a continued heavy supply of pip frait3 at the Auckland city markets. Bon Chretien pears are particularly plentiful and are selling very cheaply. Choice fruit can be bought for 5s a case, a little over a penny a pound. Stone fruits are not so plentiful, there being a scarcity of plums and nectarines. Island fruits are also scarce, and as the next shipmsnt expected is that by tha Tofua, due next Monday, prices are likely to be high. Rock melons are now coming in fairly large quantities, and it is expected they will prove more popular if the present warm weather continues.
