DANGERS OF DANCING.

IRISH PRELATES' VIEWS. MOTHERS URGED TO ACTION. instruction in the churches By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. A. and N.Z. BELFAST. Feb. 14. Cardinal O'Donnell refers in his Lenten pastoral to dancing. He i>ays: — "When a mother permits her daughters Ik> go dancing, let her have as much Christian respect for herself as for them, and provide the close attendance of a capable female companion. Do not let her leave her daughters together, unshepherded, in ways where a wolf may prowl in seeming innocence." So serious is the view taken by the Bishops of Ireland on the dangers of dancing that they have ordered special instruction to be given on the subject four times a year in all the churches.
