LAKE TAUPO FISHING.
CRITICISM BY ANGLERS. ■ Anglers report that the trout at Lake Taupo are not providing the' sport this year that they have done in previous years. One enthusiast expresses the ■'opinion that the lake needs restocking, with fresh blood. The action of the' Government in setting aside one of the best fishing streams running into the lake for the use of the Maoris unless a special license fee is paid,-and the freedom given to the Maoris to, fish how, and when they like in the lake, is adversely criticised by anglers, who . express the . opinion that this license is calculated to affect the 'overseas tourist traffic to the detriment of New Zealand.
