TEACHERS' SUMMER SCHOOL
GREAT SUCCESS RECOGNISED. DEVELOPMENT IN PROSPECT. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION. 1 CAMBRIDGE. Tuesday. The teachers attending the summer school held a * full discussion yesterday concerning the school in all its aspects. The whole body of the teachers, Representative of practically all the provinces of the Dominion., was unanimous and enthusiastic concerning the immeasurable value of the highly instructive and cultural course, and stated that they would go back to their schools with a broader vision of the value of their work. All showed an earnest desire to have the movement continued, and to that end the teachers will go to their various locations as missionaries.- -It was felt that the aim of the school had been fully realised, not the least being the stimulation of public interest in education. Mr. Milner, C.M.G., rector of the Waitaki Boys' High School, was unanimously appointed president of the next school. Such enthusiasm prevails that it seems certain the scheme will develop exten sively and have far-reaching effects. Mr. Caughley, Director of Education, will attend the school to-morrow.
