WATERSIDE LABOUR.
SATURDAY AFTERNOON WORK LYTTELTON REJECTS OFFER, [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. J CHRISTCHUECH. Saturday. The Lyttelton waterside workers have decided not to work on Saturday afternoons, thus turning down the employers' offer of increased wages and other benefits in return for this concession. Jlepresentatives of the employers met representatives of the Waterside Workers' Union in November when the employers made an offer of an increase of an hour, subject to.certain concessions being made, chief among them being that the men should return to work on Saturday afternoons.
