OHINEMURI JOCKEY CLUB.
JUBILEE RACE MEETING. The Ohinenjuri Jockey Club celebrates its fiftieth anniversary this year, and tho programme issued in connection therewith is in every way appropriate to mark a noteworthy event in the history of that popular l)ody. The sum allotted in prize money for the approaching meeting at Paeroa amounts to £4OOO. Tho leading event of the programme is tho Ohinemuri Cup, the money value attached to which is £7OO and a handsome gold cup to the value of £IOO forms the trophy. Tho two leading sprint events are each worth £300; and the Paeroa Handicap, which is the principal event on tho second day's programme carries a stake of £4OO. The jumping division is well catered for—two hurdle races and an equal number of steeplechases figuring on the programme, and the stakemohey allotted thereto amounts to £BSO. From the programme, which will bo found published in full in another column, it will, bo seen that nominations for all events close on Friday, February 19, at 8 p.m.. and the same may be lodged either with the secretary, Mr. H. Poland, Paeroa, or with Messrs. Blomfield and Co., High Street, Auckland.
