(Reed. 6.5 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 24 The diplomatic correspondent of the Suuday Express states that the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. Winston Churchill, has given Count Volpi, Italian Minister of Finance, until Monday to accept the British offer in connection with the funding of Italy's war debt. The offer is to accept 62 annnal payments of £1,520,000. Mr. Churchill warned Count Volpi that this was the final offer. The Express says it is amazing that Count Volpi should have shown any hesitation about clinching the matter. AMERICA AND GREECE. HITCH IN NEGOTIATIONS. Reuter. WASHINGTON. Jan. 22. The Secretary to the Treasury, Mr. A. W/ Mellon, announces that negotiations with the Greek Debt Commission came to a sudden halt on Friday. One of the Greek delegates will return to Athens immediately for consultation with his- Government concerning the funding of Greece's obligation of £3,000,000 to America.
