CARGO ON THE SURREY.

COLLISION IN THAMES. A GENERAL AVERAGE STRUCK. The Federal Line steamer Surrey, which is due at Auckland from London this evening, was concerned in a collision in the Thames on November 25, and the local agents, the New Zealand Shipping Company have been advised that a general average of five per cent, has been struck on the cargo. No details of the accident have been received in Auckland and the extent of the damage is not known. The Surrey has explosives to unload at Motuihi before she comes into port to discharge general merchandise for Auckland.
