REPRESENTATIVES IN FORM.

A FAST QUARTER-MILE SWIM. ENWRIGHT'S FINE PERFORMANCE. Tho Auckland swimmers to represent the province at the Now Zealand championships at Napier, commencing next Saturday, gave further proof of their ability last evening at tho Waitemata Ciub's third carnival g,t the Tepid Baths.

Tho best performance was Enwright's win in the 440 yds. handicap in 5m 435. This is tho fastest time he has ever registered for tho quarter-mile, his previous best being tho former New Zealand record of 5m 44 8-58, which gave him first place in last year's Auckland championship. When Baird deprived him of the title last week he recorded 5m 41s. The intermediate champion Bridson, was conceded 4s start by Knwright and swam a splendid race to finish oyda behind and receive second award.

Tho ladies' handicap provided excitine races. 111 tho final. Miss .D. Grant- main* tained her lead and scored a meritorious victory in the good time of 735. Tho feature of tho 66 2-3 yds handicap final was the race between Adarason and Pairgray from scratch. They were together at 33 l-3yds., but tho second lap saw Adamson clai> 011 brilliant pace and draw away to touch about 4ft. ahead in second place Ho was timed at 365. Tho veteran, Wei! son. led the nine starters home.

Swimming in tho breaststroke handicap Miss Pidgeon, who was just beaten for second place, was timed to cover 220 yds in 3m 41 4-ss, which compares very favourably with the New Zenlnnd ladies' breaststrok# record of Slll 40 l-ss.

The Auckland touring water polo team proved too fast for the Rest of Auckland and won a good game by six clear goal».
