SHEFFIELD SHIELD MATCH.

Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 12.35 a.m.) SYDNEY, Jan. 13. The Sheffield Shield cricket match, New South Wales v. South Australia, was continued to-day. Then the two Richardsions stopped the rot. V. Richardson played a chanceless, brilliant innings. He drove powerfully and scored rapidly. A Richardson was not so fast, but he batted brightly, although he was handicapped by a slightly sprained ankle. The Sydney Daily Telegraph, in describing Kelleway's batting in the match yesterday, says:—"lt showed a new Kelleway, a dashing Kelleway who picked up runs on both sides of the wicket, a Kelleway who drove with great power through cover, and who daringly pulled goodlength bowling. In fact, it showed a Kelleway who revealed that he can score runs as fast as any other batsman. The crowd grew enthusiastic over his doings, which added zest to the controversy that is raging round his claims to inclusion in the Australian eleven for England." BARBADOES CRICKET MATCH.
