WEDDING.

A very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Andrew's Church, Gisborne, on Saturday, January 2, when Miss Elizabeth Marjorie (Betty) Butt, only daughter of Mrs. R. H. Butt, of Motuhora, and the lato Mr. Robert Hampden Butt, of Birmingham, England, was married to Mr. James Galloway Crooks, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Crooks, of Hastings, and formerly of Kilmarnock, Scotland. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. _A. W. Butt, of Motuhora, wore,an ivory Bilk poplin frock, trimmed with georgette and handmade orangu blossom posy, and a veil of Brussels lac«.. She carried a dainty bouquet of roseti, carnations and maidenhair fern. She was attended bv Miss Dorothy' Watt, who wore a shaded flamec.oloured georgette frock and veil to match. She curried a bouquet of similar coloured flowers. Miiss Janie Maxwell wore a delphinium bime georgette frock and veil, and carried a, sheaf of blue delphiniums. The bridegroom was supported by Mr. Fred Martin, of Wiliroa, and his brother, Mr. Douglas Crooks, of Hastings.
