DISARMAMENT PROBLEM
PRELIMINARY CONFERENCE. AMERICAN PARTICIPATION. A. and N.Z. WASHINGTON. Jan. 6. The Foreign Affairs Committee has unanimously passed a resolution favouring tho expenditure of 50,000 dollars (about £10.000) for American participation in the coming preparatory disarmament conference at Geneva. The committee rejected an amendment which proposed to instruct the American delegates to the conference to move a resolution calling for consideration of the advisability of outlawing nations that start wars of aggression.
