The following is the report of the wellknown analyst;— Report of analysis, Brewers' Dried Grains taken personally from slock at Brewery of Messrs. N.Z. Breweries, Ltd., Auckland. I hereby certify as follows: Moisture . . 9.60 Protein . . 15.12 Carbohydrates 53.0S Fat .. . . 2.60 Crude Fibre . . 1G.40 Food mineral ash 3.20 The Ash contains Phosphates, equivalent to 1.38 p.c. of Phosphate of Lime, calculated on the Dried Grains. Phosphates are valuable to build up teeth, bones, etc. / The analysis of these dried grains show them to be a valuable food for milking cows, pigs, horses, sheep and cattle. Seventy-four per cent, of this food is valuable for the use of animals, so that it is a -concentrated foodstuff. In this respect it is similar to Bran. The following table ox total food constituents will show the valuable nature of Dried Grains:— Dried Grains:—74 p.c. total food constituents Swede Turnips 11 p.c." „ ~ Mangolds 11 p.c. „ .. „ Potatoes 24 p.c ~ Swedes, etc., aro largely water. Dried Grains aro nearly all food, and being in a dry state, will not ferment or sour. They are a valuable and cheap food to the farmer. ..(Signed) ALF. J.
