NEWS AGENCY'S TRAP.
FABRICATED SUICIDE STORY. THE EX-SHAH OF PERSIA. Times. LONDON, Jan. 3. The Prague correspondent of the Times elates an extraordinary explanation regarding news that was broadcasted from Prague on December 30, to tho effect that the ex-Shah of Persia had committed suicide. It is explained that the Radio Central News Agency, which is supplying wireless messages to Czecho-Slovak and other European newspapers, had for some time suspected certain newspapers of pirating news. In order to discover the culprits, the Agency, after warning its regular subscribers, concocted the Shah story, which was broadcasted with the desired results. A number of news agencies and newspapers in Germany and elsewhere, who were not subscribing to the Radio Agency's service, received, distributed, and published the fabricated message. It is possible that the ex-Shah may take action in regard to the matter.
