SHOOTING COMPETITIONS.
THAMES ROD AND GUN CLUB. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] THAMES. Monday. The newly-formed Thames Rod and Gun Club has gained the full confidcnco of its members, and the weekly shoots are proving good recruiting aids. A win was scored recently against Waihi in competition and Hamilton for a cup, and further interclub competitions are anticipated. There were six handicap shoots on Saturday, which resulted as fellows:—First shoot,: S. Sparke, 1; A. Brien, 2; L. Sinclair, 3. Second shoot: A. Brien, 1: G. Shaw, 2. Third shoot: S. Miller, 1: S. Sparke. 2. Fourth shoot: L. Sinclair, 1; S. Sparke. 2. Sweepstake: A. Brien, 1; L. Sinclair. 2: S. Miller, 3. Sweepstake quail drive: G. Shaw, 1: S. Miller, 2; L. Sinclair, 3.
