THE LAUNCH RUAMANO.
ARRIVAL AT WELLINGTON. GOOD PROGRESS ON TRIP. VOYAGE TO BE RESUMED TO-DAY. []3Y TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WELLINGTON, Monday. Looking none the worse for her long trip from Auckland to Wellington, via i Russell, New Plymouth and Wanganui, tho launch Ruamano, owned by Mr. A. H. Court, of Auckland, slipped into the boat harbour at Wellington about nine o'clock last evening. "Wo are quite a merry party," said Mr. Collings, the builder of the launch, "and so far we have enjoyed ourselves immensely. Although she is quite new the launch has behaved splendidly, and wo have made better progress than we anticipated." From New Plymouth the launch proceeded to Wanganui, which was reached on New Year's Day. The harbourmaster took the launch up the river to Hatrick's landing, and the party enjoyed a spell ashore, looking at the sights of tlie town and enjoying the hospitality of the citizens. They left Wanganui at 6.55 on Sunday morning. The launch will leave to-morrow morning either for Lyttelton or the Sounds and the West Coast. Tho route taken will depend largely on the weather. The itinerary of the launch will probably be as follows: Marlborough Sounds, Greymouth, Westport, Hokitika, Milford Sound, Stewart Island, Bluff, Dunedin where a short stay will be made in order that the exhibition may be visited, Lyttelton, Wellington, Napier, Gisborne, Mayor Island, for sword-fishing, Tauranga, and Auckland. The tour is expected to last until the end of February.
