Miss Ethne Lloyd returned last week from a visit to England. Mr. and Mrs. W. Coffey and family, of Grafton, are visiting the South Island. Mrs. Chrisp and the Misses Chrisp, of Gisborne, are staying at the Grand Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bull sail by the Niagara on Tuesday on a visit to England. Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Reid and Mr. and Mrs. H. Taylor are leaving for Dunedin by motor at the beginning of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Gamble, of Wellington, have taken up their residence temporarily in Mrs. Archibald Clark's house, Remuera Road. Miss R. A. Warren, Ireland, Mrs. and Miss Marcus Smith, London, and Miss C. Fitzherbert, Palmerston North, are staying at the Hotel Cargen. Miss H. M. Waters, of Wellington, who is at present visiting Mrs. Vyvyan R. Taylor, of Mount Eden, leaves for Sydney by the Niagara on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Thomson and family are spending the holidays at Mount Maunganui, and Miss Kathleen Thomson is staying with her aunt, Mrs. Brewis, at Hamilton. Miss Gwen Tayler, youngest daughter of Mrs. Vyvyan R. Tayler, of Marsden Avenue, Mount Eden, leaves for Sydney by the Niagara on Tuesday to continue her musical studies there. Commodore Bealo and Mrs. Alister Beale left last evening for Takapau to attend the double wedding of Miss Violet A'Deane and Lieu tenant-Commander Tollemache, H.M.S. Dunedin, and Miss Margaret. A'Deane and Lieutenant Marshall, H.M.S. Dunedin.
