FAULTY SEPARATION.

The following measures are suggested to avoid faulty skimming:—Test the skim milk periodically. Be sure that the temperature of the milk is not below 90deg. at time of separating. _ Make certain that the number of revolutions per minute of the separator crank does not fall below the number specified in the instructions receiveel with the separator. If there be vibration, ascertain the cause. The machine may not be set firm and level. The crown spring may need renewing. Some of the points may be badly worn; worn points make the machine handle difficult to turn; this tends t« rsduce the number of revolutions.
