Parcels received small inquiry, at a 3d decline, from 52s> 9d to 635. The spot trade is dull at late rates to a slightly easier tone. Liverpool futures: March, 12s BJd per cental ; May, 12s July, 12s. Flour. —The market is steady. Australian, ex store, 47s 6d. Oats, peas and beans are unchanged. TARANAKI OILFIELDS. REPORT ON OPERATIONS. Taranaki Oil Fields Limited, report:— " Moturoa, casing shoe damaged. This necessitates drawing and again running the string of casing. We expect this will take from five to six days. Work will continue throughout the New Year holidays at both wells." CHICAGO WHEAT MARKET. (Reed, 5.5 p.m.) CHICAGO, Deo. 31. Wheat.—December, new, 1 dollar 86£eents per bushel; old, 1 dollar 82 cents. May, new, 1 dollar 79a cents; old, 1 dollar 77£ cents. July, 1 dollar 522 cents. AUSTRALIAN PRODUCE PRICES. A. and N.Z.
