AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE. A good inquiry for Government securities marked who closing day of the Auckland sharemarket yesterday. All quotations ware at unchanged figures. .In banks New Zeaktnds were again available at. 575, buyers 565. In insurances holders of New Zealands were steady at 38s, buyers again offering 3*7s 3d. Buyers of South British were weaker ai 52s 6d, no holders quoting. In gas Auckland* bad sals at the rnlin'g price of • Z3s 3d, late holders, asking 235. fid, with buyers at 235. In miscellaneous lines Sanfords sold at 19s, late holders quoting the sale figure. In mining a transaction in Kawarans took place at 6s Id., more being available for this figure, buyers 6s 4d. vVaihis sold at 23s 6d, last waek's price. Late holders were at 245, buyers at the sale figure. The following sales took place:—Auckland Gas, 23s 3d; San ford, 19s; Kawarau, 6s 7d ; Waihi, 23s 64. The Exchange is now closed for the holidays.
