PRINCE OF WALES.
" IMPERISHABLE SERVICES." MR. LLOYD GEORGE'S TRIBUTE. ! [from our own totirespondent.] LONDON, Nov. G. A graceful reference to the Prince of Wales was made by Mr. D. Lloyd George at York oil the occasion of the receipt of his 35th civic _ freedom. Ho said "There are great names on York's roll of freemen and politicians and statesmen, great warriors, arid 'very many grades and shades of Royalty.' But there is one name among the Royalty there that stands out for the imperishable services he has rendered to the British Empire, and that is the present Prince of Wales, (Cheers.) ''There, is hardly ah individual in history—l cannot for the. moment recall one I —who has rendered greater services in strengthening that Empire, not hy arms, but by thf< attraction of a winsome personality, thari the present Prince of Wales. It will al ways be a source of
Very great pride to me that I was Prime Minister of this country when he inaugurated that dazzling series of tours "throughout. the Empire, which will ever be memorable in its great story. I am proud to he on the list where you have pot the Prince of Wales among its latest names.
