THE THERMAL RESORT.
GOOD HOLIDAY PROSPECTS. NEW ROUND TRIP READY. TOWN RAPIDLY FILLING. [my telegraph.—own correspondent.] ROTORUA, Monday. All arrangements have been completed for the new round trip, which includes the Green and Blue Lakes and the passago across Tarawera and Okataina. Thermal activity continues and Pohutu plays frequently. Visitors are seldom disappointed. The Arawa symphony orchestra is having great success with its concerts, playing to packed houses. The St. Michael's new tennis courts were opened yesterday by Dean Lightheart. He welcomed a movement that made for innocent Sunday recreation and deplored a spirit of puritanical gloom, saying that young and old were better for recreation in "God's own sunshine." The players and visitors were entertained by Mrs. Hampson during the afternoon. Over 100 were present. Fishing is reported to bo good in all lakes and streams. Mr. G. Stewart and party took 36 on Sunday. The weather continues delightful, and all the roads are in good order. Visitors are beginning to arrive, and the town is filling up. The motor traffis, as far as private cars is concerned, indicates a big increase.
