SANDERS CUP TRIALS.
FIRST CANTERBURY RACE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH. Monday. The first of the test races at Lyttelton to select the Canterbury boat and crew for the Sanders Cup contest was won by Betty in 6h 2m 20s. over a course of about nine miles. Betty sailed a fine race. Four other boats competed. Linnet was second in 6b 7m 455, and Usher third.
