AUCKLAND ROTARY CLUB.
VISITORS FROM HAMILTON. THE CHRISTMAS TREE FETE. There was a large attendance at the weekly luncheon of the Aaekland Rotary Club yesterday. Three members of the Hamilton Rotary Club, Mr. D. Hay, the president, the Rev. F. Harty and Mr. H. H. Clark were present by special invitation. Mr. Hay said he brought with him heartiest greet*ings from the Hamilton Club which now had 40 members. A welcome was extended to Mr. H. T. Merritt, who returned recently from abroad. The guests included Mr. J. B. Hutchinson, Vavau. Mr. I. G. Pundfort, London, .Mr. J. Fletcher, Dunedin, Mr. J: McLean, Melbourne, and Mr. D. Johnson, Christchurch. Details of the best way to travel to the Pan-Pacific Rotary Conference to be held at Honolulu from May 25 to May 28, 1926, and tiie international Rotary Convention at Denver, Colorado, commencing on June 15, 1926, were given by Mr. R. Angus. He urged all those who intended to go to book early, as the bookings were very heavy for April. The president, Mr. J. F. Ewen, reminded members that the Rotary Club intended to hold a Christmas tree fete in the Majestic Theatre, commencing at halfpast ten next. Monday morning. Pictures would bo shown for the first, hour and after that the Christmas tree would be displayed and toys distributed among the children.
Next Monday will be the club's final luncheon for 1 lie year.
