The Hospital Board to-day resolved that in view of the increase of consumption among young people, particularly young women, the board ask Dr. Bi llcliir, medical superintendent, and Miss Watt, matron, to prepare a report for publication of their views as to cause, and also whether tho present mode of dressing by young women is in the best interests of their health. The discussion was taken in committee. „ It is noticeable that each report of Dr. Kidd, the medical superintendent of the Waipiata Sanitorium, includes patients of no great ago as suitable for treatment there. Recently two members of the Ashburton Hospital nursing staff were sent to Waipiata at the board's expense.
