CYCLIST AMONG BEES.

A Christchurch motor-cyclist was going through Cathedral Square last Sunday, when he noticed a black, hovering mass in front of him. Before he realised what it was he had run into a swarm of bees. He shut his eyes and* trusted to good fortune. The bees struck him on the face, legs and arms, and it was not until he got across the Square that he was through the swarm. He turned the machine into Gloucester Street and opened the throttle up to 45 miles an hour across Manchester Street. After a further increase of speed be freed from tho bees.
