YOUTH OF HAMILTON.
"FATHER AND SON" BANQUET. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. 1 " HAMILTON. Wednesday. A successful community " Father and Son " banquet was held under the auspices of the Hamilton Y.M.C.A. and the Hamilton Rotary Club last evening. The; Mayor, Mr. J. R. Fow, presided over an attendance of 308 men and boys. The ladies had prepared an excellent repast*.Among the toasts proposed were, " Qui; Dads," " Our Homes," " The Church," and " Our Schools," the proposers being boys. The principal speaker of tha evening was Mr. W. J, Holdsworth, of Auckland. A fine .musical programme was given by the Y.M.C.A. orchestra and a quartette of vocalists, Messrs, Mason, Outtrim, Cook and Quill. A number o£ boys contributed recitations.
