NAVAL MEN AND DANCES.

Sir, —I feel I must comment upon fho behaviour of the management of the dance held in St. Benedict's Hall last Monday, It is a direct insult to the King's urn- . form (using the words of my friend, Mr. Durham, of H.M.S, Dunedin), not to admit a BritisJi bluejacket, and to offer no explanation as to why a man in the King's uniform may riot be admitted. This calls for an apology to our British hhiejackets and to our own members .of the Defence Department from those irr charge of affairs at that particular danco. L. J. Ttrim,®. H.M.S. Barham.
