DEPARTURES FOR DOMINION. MANY LONDON INQUIRIES. [from our own correspondent.] LONDON, November 6. Some figures regarding the number of callers at the inquiry bureau at tho High Commissioner's Office have been compiled. During the year ended May 31, the number of inquiries received from people who were contemplating going to the Dominion was 14,632. The number of callers with capital of £IOOO or over, whose names and addresses were given, and who furnished some particulars of themselves, was 231, with a total capital of £852,200, and private incomes amounting to £26,160 per annum. It has been ascertained that 73 out of the 231 persons representing capital amounting to £233,400, have already sailed for the Dominion or will be leaving very soon. Tho total inquiries included people seeking general information, and a good proportion of these have gone to New Zealand under tho assisted passenger scheme.
