PALMERSTON COMPLAINT. PLAY TO BE FORBIDDEN. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] PALMERSTON NORTH, Tuesday. The Palmerston North High School Board is much concerned over the use of the schoolgrounds for cricket on Sundays. On Sunday last a match was played and attracted a large number of spectators The matter was discussed at a meeting of the board last night, when a question was asked as to the attitude of board members in regard to Sunday cricket. Mr. J. A. Nash, SI.P., said he would strongly oppose the board's area being used for such a purpose. Mr. T. R. Hodder said the ground nearest the caretaker's house seemed to be the rendezvous of the " riff-raff " of Rangitikei Street, It was decided that the chairman of the Grounds Committee see that Sunday cricket is stopped immediately.
