RESCUE FROM DROWNING.

WOMAN'S CRIES IN NIGHT. CLINGING TO BRIDGE PILES. [BY TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT.] PAEROA. Monday. Cries from the direction of the railway bridge attracted the attention of Captain Adlan at the wharf at 2 o'clock this morning. He proceeded to the spot in a boat and found a woman clinging to the piles. How she got there or how long she had been in the water is not known. The woman was removed to a house near-by where she received medical attention. She is still suffering but is believed to be out of danger.
