NAVAL MEN AND DANCES.
Sir, —I came ashore to-night with the intention of going to a dano® (St. Benedict's Hall) which was advertised, bat, on o reaching tho door and, tendering my money, was told that men in uniform " were not admitted." Is this a slight on thfe King's uniform? Or do they not like to see a common sailor on shore leave in his base port ? E. Durham, a.b., H.M.S. Dunedin.
