The Mayor; Councillors and Burgesses of the Borough of Otahuhu hereby give notice, in pursuance of Section 9 of the above-men-tioned Act:— (1) That the purposes for which the Loan is required are:(A) The sum of £7500 for the installation of drainage in that part of the Borough known as the Hokonui Estate. (B) The sum of £2200 for the installation and completion of drainage in that part of the Borough lying between Walmsley Road. Weka Street and the Main Trunk Railway Line. (C) The sum of £3300 for the purpose of making advances to owners and occupiers pursuant to Section 228 of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920." CD) The sum of £7OOO for the purpose of providing the borough's proportion of the cost of installation of drainage in the central portion of the Borough, being that part thereof bounded by the Great South Road, Mangere Road, Walmsley Road, Clevedon Road. Station Road and Avenue Road West. (2) That the Otahuhu Borough Council, being unable to provide the necessary funds for such works out of tho ordinary revenue of the Borough, proposes to raise a Special Loan 01 not exceeding £20.000. (3) That the proposed security for the repayment of such loan shall be an annuallyrecurring special rate of One penny halfpenny (Hd) in tho pound on the ratable value of all ratable property in the Borough of Otahuhu. (4) That tho Otahuhu Borough Council proposes to make such loan repayable in years, and to make provision for tho payment of a sinking fund of not less than ono per centum per annum. (5) That the Otahuhu Borough Council proposes to pay out of the Loan moneys the cost of raising the loan, together with the interest and sinking fund thereon for the first year. (2) That the Otahuhu Borough Council, being unable to provide the necessary funds for such works out of the ordinary revenue of tho Borough, proposes to raise a Special Loan of not exceeding £O2OO. (3} That the proposed security for the repayment of such loan shall be an annuallyrecurring special rate of one half-penny (id.) in the pound on the ratable value of all ratable property in the Borough of Otahuhu. (4) That the Otahuhu Borough Council proposes to make such loan repayablo in 36} years, and to make provision for the payment of a sinking fund of not less than one per centum per annum. (3) That the proposed security for tho repayment of such loan shall be an annuallyrecurring special rate of thirteen sixteenths (13-tfiths) of a penny in the pound on the ratable value of all ratable property in tho Borough of Otahuhu. (4) That tho Otahuhu Borgugh -Council proposes to make such loan repayable in 36i years and to make provision for tho payment of a sinking fund of not less than one per centum per annum.
