PIGEON FLYING.

THE PONSONBY CLUB. RACE FROM WELLINGTON. The I'onsonby Flying Club's one-bird championship race was flown on Saturday from Thorndon railway station, Wellington, an airline distance of 309 miles. The silver cup as first prize was won by Mr. J. Morris' hen True Blue. Following are the results; — Mr. J. Morris' b b h True Blue, velocity 1107 yards per minute, 1; Mr. S. Webb's blk p c Roycroft Decimal, 1104.1 yds, 2; M. R. Spier's b c h Bantane Dixie. 1104 yds, 3; Mr. W. Billings' blk c Jervois Darky, 1101 yds; Mr, H. Coles' b b c Master Kiwi, 1096.4yd5. Next week the club will fly its yearling stakes from Ohakune.

AUCKLAND CLUB'S RACE. The Auckland Racing Pigeon Club decided a race from Ohakune, an airline distance of 180 miles. The birds met with snow and rain on the journc- but Mr. E.
