DUNEDIN EXHIBITION.
AUCKLAND COURT AFFAIRS. REFRIGERATOR DIFFICULTY. The executive committee of the Auckland Provincial Court at the Dunedin Exhibition met yesterday, Mr. A, A. Martin, presiding. The difficulty of providing for a refrigerating plant for the butter and cheese exhibits was the subject of some comment. Mr. J. A. C. A Hum said it was unfortunate that present finances Would not permit catering for these desirable exhibits. The dairy companies had been circularised, and it was hoped that the necessary support would be forthcoming from those, most interested in the display of primary produce. It was stated that a minimum of £250 would be required from outside subscription. On the ' motion of Mr, Allum, the question of installing a refrigerator plant was deferred until the financial position was more satisfactory. The contractor's progress report stated that all structural work on the Auckland Court should be completed this week. Mr. Allum was appointed to represent Auckland at the opening ceremony on November 17. An assistant organiser was appointed for the period of the exhibition. The financial report disclosed that* contributions to date totalled £5016. Committments already made aggregated £4878 s.na future liabilities i,n connection with J P llrc hase of furniture and provision ™ aad insurance were estimated fejSjfe,.
