Before going away on a holiday do not forget to protect the, fuel-stove from rust. Often when one's house is empty for weeks the stove rapidly rusts, despite blacklending. Tho following: suggestions should he adopted: Before leaving the house, give tho stove a thorough blackle.ading, using a little raw linseed or other oil with the blacklead. This will form a coating which should absolutely protect the surface arid prevent the rusting of the iron. The surface should first be brushed clean, then the blacklead and oil should be well rubbed in. Grates, if of iron, can be treated the same way.
