WALL STREET BOOM.
SPECULATIVE OUTBURST. HIGH-PRICED STOCKS SOAR. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK. Nov. 2. What are known as "plutocratic" stocks on Wall Street, namely,. those which are selling at 200 dollars and upward per share, behaved like "wildcat oil issues to-day. The Stock Exchange witnessed one of the most remarkable speculative outbursts in its history.
This rapid advance in high-priced issues, following as it did on the heels of Fne recent boom market, brought the public by thousands into the market. Many small speculators, who had lost money in some of last week's declines, returned hoping to recoup themselves. Optimistic reports of business conditions and declarations of extra dividends by large corporations continue to stimulate trading.
