SETTLING AN OLD DEBT.
HONDURAS AND BRITAIN. LARGE SUM WRITTEN OFF. (Received 5.5 p.m.) Router. WASHINGTON. Oct. 29. An agreement in connection with the settlement of a loan of £5,000,000, floated by Honduras in Britain in 1875, was reached by the British Embassy yesterday. With compound interest the debt, had risen to nearly £30,000,000. Honduras is to pay £1,200,000, without interest, over a period of 30 years.
