FRENCH AERIAL FATALITIES

CHANNEL SHIPPING SUFFERS. Renter. LONDON. Oct. 23. A gale with a velocity of 90 miles an hour, accompanied by torrential rain, was experienced to-day in England and France. Damage was done to telegraph and telephone lines. A number of ships limped up the Channel.

Tiie Cologne to London and the Paris to London air mails were blown to Croydon at a tcrriffic speed. They landed safely. Two aerial accidents happened in France. A military aeroplane crashed at Bordeaux. The pilot was killed and the mechanic had his spine broken. A naval aeroplane, with a crew of four men, fell into a lake. Three of the airmen were drowned and the fourth was seriously injured.
