INSPECTION OF FISH SHOPS.

Sir, —Permit me a few lines to protest against the class of fish that dealers are permitted to sell to the public. The other day I purchased some schnapper fillets that were absolutely unfit for use. What are our inspectors doing to permit of this class of food being sold ? Are the big shops beyond reproach ? If frequent inspection were made of these premises bad fish would not fee kept in stock for fear of detection. No inspector could pass as suitable for consumption the fish sold to me as fresh on two occasions in the last fortnight. No More Fish.
