"THE BANNER BEARERS."

A sacred cantata entitled "Tho Banner Bearers," was performed before a fairly large audience in Unity Hall on Saturday evening, under the auspices of tho Sunday-school Union. The music was throughout of a very pleasing nature. Particularly effective were an arrangement of a' negro melody, "When Israel Was in Egyptland," and a contralto solo, "Little Mother of the Wigwam." A conventional introduction led up to the point where tho "Banner Bearers," groups of children dressed to represent various mission fields, such as the South Sea Islands, India and China, sang their responses to an appeal voiced by a herald and a quartette. Then followed "The Worship of the Nations," concluding with a final hymn and tho benediction.
