LAWN TENNIS.

OPENING OF THE SEASON. AUSTRALIANS IN WELLINGTON. The date of the opening of the lawn tennis season in Auckland has not been definitely decided. One club, Mangere Central, will open its lawns next Saturday, bat most of the local clubs will probably not open until November 7. .L 0. Anderson and the Australian ladies' team will arrive in Wellington by the Tahiti next Monday, when they will play exhibition matches. Anderson is to meet G. Ollivier, the Dominion champion, and although the Australian will probably not be at his best after the trip, a good game should be the result.
