TELEGRAPHIC CHARGES.
THE PROPOSED INCREASES. NOT TO bE OBLIGATORY. Reuter. PARIS. Oct. It. Subject to the approval of the plenary conference the Tariff Committee of the International Telegraph Conference has agreed that, the increased terminal and transit charges on telegrams shall be applied on April 1, 1926. The increases, which it is considered are certain to be. formally adopted in spite of British opposition, will merely constitute the maximum rates chargeable, and will not bo obligatory.
