The gathering was held for the first time on a playing area destined to become, one 01 the finest schools sports fields in New Zealand or Australia The track was well prepared and in good order, and as a result the times recorded were good Several school records were equalled or excelled. Mcßae. last year's champion, but failed to quality in standard time in the. mile, thus failing to secure the championship H. .itowe had an easy win in the junior championship.
