A RECORD IN HOTELS.
HEIGHT OF 05 STOREYS, OVER FIVE THOUSAND ROOMS. [from oi;k own correspondent. ] SAN FRANCISCO. Sept. 2G. New York is to have a 65-storoy hotel, of 5500 rooms, which will be Bft. higher than the Woolworlh building. Ten per ce:nfc. of the profits of the hotel are, it is stated by the, real estate people responsible, to be devoted to missionary work. The building, exclusive of the land, •will cost £2,800,000, will contain a diningroom seating 2000, an inter-denominational church, a bank, stores, hospital and 12 roof-gardens. No occupant of the hotel will be allowed to srnoko or drink, and Sunday newspapers will not bo permitted on the premises.
