PROHIBITION CAMPAIGN

NEW BRiTISH MOVEMENT. TO BE OPENED NEXT WEEK. LONDON. Oct. 3. Prohibition bodies have for months been secretly engaged in planning a great new campaign to make Britain " dry." It will be opened at Manchester on October 19 and the methods to bo adopted are similar to those used in carrying prohibition in America. The speakers will include Mr. and Mrs. Philip Snowdea and Mrs. Lloyd George. A questionnaire is being sent to branches of the Liberal Party to ascertain whether the party will make prohibition a plank of its platform. Meanwhile the Liberals are not associating themselves with the campaign.
