MINERS' STRIKE SETTLED.
THE TIMBERING DISPUTE. WORK RESUMES NEXT WEEK. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] GKEYMOUTH, "Wednesday. The dispute at the State mines regarding timbering for safety was settled today, when the Miners' Union adopted the following terms which delegates had agreed on with the management: —"That in all jigs at the Liverpool collieries where timbering is required, the roof shall be supported with sets, unless it is agreed between the management and the men working in the place that- props would be safer. In all jigs centre props shall be used only in cases where they confer greater safety?" The miners will re.sume work on Monday. They have been idle for five weeks.
