THE MONTH'S ADVANCEMENT. NEW PREMISES OCCUPIED. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN COimESPONTOEXT. ] CAMBRIDGE. Tuesday. The Cambridge Power P>oard met to-day, Mr. M. Wells presiding. The installation loans committee reported that 17 applications for financial assistance, totalling £630, had been granted dnring the month. To date 174 consumers had received assistance and the amonnt out on loan totalled £5207. The statement of balances was as follows: Installation loan account, credit £429 6s lid; power fund account, debit £2556 19s; loan account (hypothecation loan debentures), £16,809 ss'ad. The engineer reported that the connections to date were: Borough. 439; Leamington, 103; milking motors, 232; county lighting, 369; water-heaters, 179; ranges, 49. The new consumers for the month totalled 13. The board's new reinforced concrete offices at the corner of Empire and Alpha Streets have been completed, the board meeting in the new board room to-day. The premises are modern throughout and the building, which is of imposing and pleasing design, is a, decided asset to that portion of the town.
