W. Nash. This new car is regarded as the crowning achievement of his career. It is built by the Ajax Motors Company, subsidiary to Nash Motors, and those who have had an opportunity to see it and drive it state that it is a contribution to the motor-car industry of vital importune®. Its noteworthy performance, exceptional riding comfort, and economy of operation will arouse widespread comment. The great Ajax plant at Racine, Wisconsin, U.S.A., was completely remodelled and equipped throughout with the very newest precision machine equipment and tools known to the motor-car world, in order that the new car should have every production advantage. The Ajax Six will be available in two body styles—a five-passenger 4-door sedan and a five-passenger touring model. Though not as large as the Nash product, it has an over-ail length of 153£ inches, Beautiful Body Styles Both the touring car and sedan bodies are of beautifully modelled design. Their attractiveness is further enhanced by the use of a double bead at tho belt line. They axe mounted on a low-hung frame, thus assuring load steadiness at all speeds. The seating arrangements in both cars provides the occupants with unusual room and comfort. The compactness of the motor construction, due to the use of the 7-bearing crankshaft, made it possible to provide thisi moderate-also ear with more than usual body room. The body construction of both touring ear Bnd sedan is extremely strong and of splendid workmanship. Both bodies are finished in a deep grey-green Duco, with black belt mouldings, black baked enamel fenders, and deep grey-green Duco wheels. The aedan top is also m black. The touring car seats are upholstered in genuine leather, toned to match the body colour, and the sedan seat cushions and backs are upholstered in mohair of an attractive green shade, patterned with black stripes. The upholstery iia both cars is deep and comfortable. Complete Equipment The equipment of the Ajax Six is in keep* ing with the high standard of quality which prevails throughout. It includes automatic wind-shield wiper, rear view mirror, cowl ventilator, transmission lock, cowl parking lights, and headlights with dimmers. Both ears have one-piece wind-shields, hinged at the top, and there is a sun visor on the sedan. The deft grouping of the instruments on the Ajax instrument board reflects the forethought exercised for the driver. A feature of the switch control is that one lever operates both lights and ignition. The steering wheel is large and conveniently placed, with the horn button in tho eentre of the wheeL With a six-cylinder 3 x 4 inch Irhead en gine, developing 40 h.p. in a sedan weighing fully equipped 2,600 pounds, it is only natural to look for tinusual performance, and the Ajax Six has a liveliness and a rapidity of get-away with extreme smoothness. 11 No Rough Spots" It is immediately apparent that a 7-bear-ing crankshaft in a car pf this size and price is without precedent, and this shaft, plus careful and scientific balancing of reciprocating parts and precision workmanship, has developed an engine that has no rough spots throughout its entire range of speed end power.
