FIRST INSTALMENTS OF COST.

[BV TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] THAMES, Thursday.

The town clerk to-day deposited £2OOO on behalf of the Thames Borough Council and the county clerk deposited £IOOO on behalf of the Thames County Council, as instalments toward the cost of bridging the Waihou River at Kopu. The Hauraki Plains County Council has already deposited its portion with the Public Works Department, which has the plans ready.
